On July 16, 2022, the New Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 - Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR), which opens up the use of recycled and organic materials for fertilization purposes in the European market, officially came into effect.
This new regulation is highly exciting as all EU member states and other countries within the EU market will share the same official definition for agricultural inputs for the first time, which is considered a significant advancement for every company operating in the sector.
AgroCErt views this regulation as a crucial step towards sustainable agriculture and the transformation of the agricultural sector. We consider the FPR to be of utmost importance, as it paves the way for domestic and national companies to take a pioneering role in this sector and to hold a reference position globally in terms of agricultural regulations. Furthermore, under the FPR, products must comply with environmental and safety requirements, ensuring that all products in the market meet safety and quality standards.
As AgroCErt, we support the European Union Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR) because we aim to play an active role in the sector's transformation. Through this role, we aspire to shed light on producers in Turkey and around the world and align circular economy and sustainable agriculture with the objectives of Agricultural Policy, the EU Green Deal, and the Farm to Fork Strategy. By fostering innovation in the industry, we can collectively address the challenges that the world faces today and in the future.
